Solubility: 1. Dissolved in water: Slowly add H-HPC into vigorously stirred water until it is completely dissolved. If all the materials are added, it will be difficult to dissolve; Slowly add HPC under the condition of full stirring. After all HPC is added, add the remaining 80-70% water to dissolve completely. 2. Dissolve in organic solvent: Slowly add H-HPC into the organic solvent under full stirring. It is difficult to dissolve it if it is added at one time.

Applications
 
Highly substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose
1. Used as a viscous agent: In the pharmaceutical field, this product is mainly used as a binder, such as a binder for tablets, granules and fine granules.
2. Used as a film coating material for tablets. HPC has excellent film-forming properties. The resulting film is tough and elastic, and can be compared with plasticizers. By mixing with other anti-moisture coating agents, the performance of the film can be further improved.
3. Used as a thickener for elixirs, an additive for lotions and a stabilizer for emulsions.
4. It can be used as matrix material to prepare matrix sustained-release tablets, sustained-release pellets and double-layer sustained-release tablets.
5. It is used as a gel in the case of ethanol and as an ointment base.
 
Stability and Storage Conditions
 
Hydroxyethylmethylcellulose is hygroscopic and should be stored in a cool, dry place.
