Production process of chloroacetic acid

1. It is prepared by reacting glacial acetic acid and chlorine under sulfur catalysis to generate crude chloroacetic acid, and then cooling, crystallizing and filtering. 2. Using 93% sulfuric acid as a catalyst, the reaction temperature is about 160-180 ℃, and trichloroethylene is hydrated to obtain high-purity chloroacetic acid, but there are many by-products of hydrochloric acid. 3. Chloroacetic acid is obtained by oxidizing chloroethanol with 60% nitric acid at 60°C.
