Dibenzoyl peroxide is a strong oxidant and is flammable. Dibenzoyl peroxide is the most widely used initiator for polymerization, mainly used for solvent polymerization of PVC, polyacrylonitrile, acrylate, vinyl acetate, and graft polymerization of neoprene, SBS and methyl methacrylate. Unsaturated polyester resin curing, initiator and crosslinking agent for plexiglass adhesives, etc. In the rubber industry, it is used as a vulcanizing agent and cross-linking agent for silicone rubber and fluororubber. It can also be used as bleaching agent and oxidizing agent in chemical production. Dibenzoyl peroxide has a whitening effect on wheat flour.
Packaging, storage and transportation
Dried dibenzoyl peroxide commodity is packed in polyethylene-lined paper bags or fiber drums or in polyethylene-lined metal drums.
