Product Parameters

Nitroguanidine is an important chemical raw material, widely used in the fields of medicine, pesticide and energetic materials. For example, propyl nitroguanidine, a white solid with a melting point of 99°C, can be used as an energetic material. Kimberly et al. reported in 2013 that the DGX-Al explosive formulation based on propyl nitroguanidine had an impact sensitivity (H50) greater than the upper limit of the test, and its friction sensitivity and electrostatic sensitivity were much better than those of Hexojin. For the synthesis of alkyl nitroguanidine, early researchers started from 2-alkyl-2-isothiourea sulfate through a two-step reaction, but due to technical factors, this method is difficult to achieve industrialization. Subsequently, some researchers proposed to use nitroguanidine as a raw material and react with aliphatic amine under alkaline conditions to obtain N-alkyl-N'-nitroguanidine with higher purity.
