Cypermethrin is a broad-spectrum insecticide used to control pests on crops such as cotton, rice, corn, soybeans, and fruit trees and vegetables.
Pyrethroid pesticides are a new generation of pesticides developed on the basis of simulating the effective components and chemical structure of natural pyrethroids. With their obvious efficacy, high insecticidal activity, wide use, low residue, and low toxicity to mammals, they have become an ideal alternative to highly toxic and residual organophosphorus pesticides advocated by the country. Methyl pentinic acid, chemical name is 3,3-dimethyl-4-pentenoic acid methyl ester, the pure product is a colorless transparent liquid with a special stimulating odor. Soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ethyl acetate,  but insoluble in water, it is an organic compound with a stimulating aroma and is the most important intermediate for the synthesis of various pyrethroids, including a series of dichloroethrin insecticides such as dichlorothrin (DV), pyrethrin, permethrin, and cypermethrin Chemicalbook; There are more than ten major categories of varieties such as cyfluthrin, deltamethrin, and dextro-trans allethrin rich. Methyl pentinic acid accounts for about 60% of the cost of various pesticides mentioned above, and plays a key role in the synthesis of various pyrethroid pesticides. In the early 1970s, it was first industrialized by the British company Jielikang. In recent years, it has also been produced in China, but most of it belongs to the category of imitation. Methyl pentinic acid is also an important chemical raw material that can be used in general organic synthesis. Due to the use of a large number of chemical raw materials with irritating odor in the production process of methyl pentinic acid, intermediate products and final products are also gaseous chemicals with irritating odor, attention should be paid to their impact on human health and the ecological environment during the production process.
