BDP is used as a flame retardant for high - density polymers ( especially engineering plastics ). The performance of BDP on PC/ABS materials is as good as brominated flame retardants . An 18-21% utilization rate can help achieve UL 94 V-0 rating . It is also widely used in MPPO , polyester fiber and polyester resin industries .
